Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Tuesday called for providing a weekly day off to police personnel in the state.
Baghel gave the go ahead to the long pending demand. The Chief Minister gave this instruction at a review meeting of the Home Department.
He sought the arrest of those in chit fund companies who duped people of crores of rupees in the state.
He called for stern steps against hookah bars in the state and said bars that have closed down should not open again.
Home Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu, Director General of Police D.M. Awasthi and other senior officials attended the meeting.
