The Congress-led coalition ‘Mahajoth’ (Grand Alliance) will win 100 plus seats in Assam, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, who was a key campaigner in the state, said on Wednesday.
Whatever promises have been by the Congress will be fulfilled in Assam, he said, adding that the Congress government in Chhattisgarh had implemented all the promises that Rahul Gandhi made.
He said in Assam also, after forming a government, the Congress-led alliance will fulfil the five assurances it has given to the voters. The Congress coalition will win more than 100 seats in Assam.
After the first phase of Assembly polling, the BJP’s confidence has been shaken, he said. In the second and third phases, they are nowhere in the electoral battle, said Baghel.
All the 10 political parties opposing the Citizen Amendment Act (CAA) are with the Congress in Assam, he added.
“Wooden utensils cannot be placed on fire a second time,” Baghel said. “The BJP follows the policy of ‘divide and rule’ which was implemented by the Britishers. “
