On the eighth International Yoga Day, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Tuesday described yoga as a spiritual process which binds mind, body and soul in one.
He urged people to add yoga in their daily routine for their physical, psychological and mental well-being. Yoga is more than just a workout involving both mind and body, he said.
Baghel performed various yoga asanas at the Chhattisgarh Sadan in New Delhi. He is in New Delhi for the last two days.
He said yoga gave sustained health. Regular yoga practice helps keep the body and mind healthy.
The relevance of yoga increased in times of the corona pandemic, he said, adding that yoga was an invaluable gift of India’s ancient tradition. It brings positivity in one’s life.
“You will be strong enough to face any adverse situation if your mind and body are both healthy.”
