Taking to Twitter, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday praised Team India Test skipper Virat Kohli but not because of his cricketing endeavours but because of his ‘Swacch Bharat’ attempt.
Reportedly, after the practice session of team India ended on Friday and the team retreated towards the pavilion, Kohli started picking up the empty water bottles strewned around by the players. He later disposed them off in a dustbin.

Soon, one of the grounds men approached him politely asking him not to clean up as it was their job. However, Kohli told the man that the garbage was thrown around by them (players) so it was their duty to clean up the mess.
The media captured the ‘Swachh Bharat’ moments of Kohli and aired them on their channels.
Shortly, the PM also saw the footage on one of the channels and tweeted, appreciating Kohli’s effort to promote cleanliness.
