30 persons were left injured as a overloaded bus turned turtle near Ghodabattar on Narayanpur-Bhanupratapur –Kanker Road in the wee hours of Wednesday morning.
Reportedly, Bastar Travels bus – CG 21F0918 – was ferrying 42 passengers.
Out the injured, five persons and three children were admitted to the hospital in serious condition.
An injured passenger, Mukesh, informed that when the bus reached Assular village, it was noticed by the passengers that the bus leaning to one side but, the driver did not pay heed to their complaints and continued driving until it overturned near Ghodabbattar.
As per the source, the driver fled from the spot, following the accident, leaving the passengers trapped in the bus.
Meanwhile, high level administrative officers reached the hospital and orders of providing proper treatment to the passengers were passed.
