BHOPAL: A delegation of BJP lodged a complaint with chief electoral officer (CEO) on Friday over the activities of Congress at Mantralaya. BJP national general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya in his complaint given to CEO VL Kantarao demanded stern action against Chief Minister Kamal Nath. Vijayvargiya, besides lodging complaint, also handed over a CD and photograph of former MLA of BSP Balbir Singh Dandotia, who had joined Congress.
Dandotia is shown in the CD saying that Nath was instrumental in getting him membership of Congress at the Mantralaya. BJP in the complaint has urged the CEO to get CCTV footages and entry register from the Mantralaya and probe into the matter. It is alleged in the complaint that Nath was conducting all election related meeting at Mantralaya, despite code of conduct coming into effect. BJP also blamed Congress of pressurising officials involved in election work and collecting funds for elections by inviting industrialists.
Vijayvargiya claimed that Nath had turned Mantralaya into Congress office. He claimed that Nath was preparing election related strategy at Mantralaya, despite the fact that model code of conduct has become effective across the country.
