‘BJP’s motive to field Sadhvi Pragya Thakur was to spread communal hatred’

BHOPAL: The BJP has kept itself off from giving an account of the works done during its 15 years rule in the state and that of five years at the centre, but it is asking for an account of the Congress’ 72- days-old government in MP, said chief minister Kamal Nath on Wednesday. On the occasion of the completion of one year as state Congress president, he told journalists that the BJP’s motive to field Sadhvi Pragya Thakur from the Bhopal Lok Sabha constituency was to spread communal hatred.

This indicates that the BJP is feeling edgy about its position in the state capital that it used to consider as its bastion. He added that she is spreading tension in the society by giving objectionable statements. He further added that the statements of the Sadhvi are not good for the democracy. He alleged that “In the history of democracy it is for the first time that a Prime Minister is so blatantly violating the Model Code of Conduct day after day, such a PM you will not find and what standard he is trying to set in the country.” To celebrate the occasion the Congress workers fired crackers and distributed sweets at the PCC office.
