Cheap power? MP government selling Centre’s Rs 50 LED bulb for Rs 85

MP government has been charging Rs 85 for LED bulbs that were made available for cheap upon an announcement by PM Narendra MOdi, 20% above the actual price of Rs 50.
Centre’s Ujala Yojana was kick started in April by POwer Minister Piyush Goyal, according to which people could buy LED bulbs at cheaper prices.
After a 20% tax on original price, one bulb costs Rs 85 in MP, and the state government has so far earned Rs 8 crore off of it.
Some officials were heard admitting that the price was inflated, citing a better quality of bulbs as a reason, while some others said that they have no knowledge on the matter, and an investigation could be started.
