Concluding the two-day joint conference of collectors and superintendents of police of Madhya Pradesh, chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has set 11-point agenda for the bureaucrats to propagate his idea of good governance, public service and progress.
Commenting on the malnutrition, CM Chouhan said that malnourishment cases have shown slight decline but he was not satisfied. State government would run a campaign against malnutrition, he said.
The chief minister ordered stringent action against goonda elements who cause trouble for the public. “Ensure stringent action against anti-social elements,” Chouhan instructed collectors and top police officers while assessing law and order situation in the state.
Referring to Petlavad blast case, Chouhan said that such cases bring bad name for the state and instructed that government officers should ensure that those storing explosives have proper licence with them.
He also warned senior police officers to ensure that no government staffer should be assaulted during action against illegal mining and illegal transportation of minerals.
He asked police officers to act against drunken driving, those who manufacture weapons illegally, against chit fund companies and ordered efforts to lower crimes against women.
CM said that these days even a small post on Whatsapp triggers riots so a policy would be formulated for reining in such instigating messages and posts.
He asked guardian ministers to take stock of law and order situation in their respective districts once in every three months.
Collectors and SPs of Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Gwalior, Seoni, Satna, Khandwa, Dewas, Khargone and Ujjain draw praise from CM Chouhan for better governance as Chouhan said that this would be entered into the CR of the officers concerned.
Top bureaucrats from Bhopal, Panna, Ashoknagar, Betul and Katni got pat on the back from the chief minister for prompt action in crimes against women.
Collector and Bhind Superintendent of Police were praised by the CM Chouhan for their endeavours in preventing mass cheating in board exams. Bhind is the one of worst performers when it comes to usage of unfair means in class X and XII exams.
