GIS investment proposals review for speedy action to execute at ground level : MP CM Chouhan

Chief MinisterShivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the Global Investors Summit held in Indore on January 11-12 was truly global. Representatives and business leaders from 84 countries attended the summit. The whole world has now come to know Madhya Pradesh. For the first time, the desire of investors to invest on a large scale came to the fore. The officials associated with the summit were also successful in presenting Madhya Pradesh.

Chief Minister Chouhan congratulated the senior officers and their staff for the success of the GIS event. Chief Minister Chouhan said that the work of implementation should be done by adopting a concrete strategy to implement the investment proposals received in the summit. The Chief Minister said that this summit is the sunrise of Madhya Pradesh’s progress. Such enthusiasm has not been seen before. There is enthusiasm among investors for investment which will be fully utilized.

Chief Minister Chouhan was discussing with ministers and senior officials regarding the implementation of investment proposals received in GIS: 2023 at Samatva Bhawan of Chief Minister’s residence today. Finance Minister Jagdish Deora was also present. Food Minister Bisahulal Singh, Small, Micro and Medium Enterprises Minister Omprakash Sakhlecha, Minister of State for Horticulture and Food Processing Bharat Singh Kushwaha and Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains also joined the meeting virtually.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that this was the seventh summit. All the officers and employees also worked hard day and night. All of them deserve to be congratulated. The Chief Minister said that the NRIs had also gathered three days before the summit. Many Pravasi Bharatiyas also participated in the summit. There was enthusiastic participation from all. International organizations such as the European Union, ASEAN and the India-Africa Trade Council also joined in. Presidents of two countries and ambassadors of many countries also attended. Overall, this summit was successful. For maximum investments to come in Madhya Pradesh, full advantage should be taken of the encouraging environment created by the summit. Chief Minister Chouhan said that today there is competition among the states as well. Madhya Pradesh will not lag behind in its efforts. Madhya Pradesh is committed to its contribution in giving India a strong economy.

Orders for important announcements should be duly issued, review will be done every week

Chief Minister Chouhan said that proper orders should be issued regarding the plug and play facility, the decisions on allowing works in the notified areas without permission and no inspection for three years. Along with this, arrangements should also be made for a portal to function as a separate window. Chief Minister Chouhan said that the system of meeting with investors every Monday will continue. Follow-up of new investment proposals will be reviewed weekly.

The Chief Minister directed that the Department of Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion, acting as the nodal department, should follow up the proposals received by the investors from the concerned departments. The proposals presented at the summit will be reviewed next week. Continuous review should be done at the department level as well. The meeting also discussed the construction of a convention center in Bhopal.

Principal Secretary Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion Manish Singh gave a presentation. Ten partner countries Japan, Canada, Netherlands, Guyana, Mauritius, Bangladesh, Zimbabwe, Suriname, Panama and Fiji participated in the Global Investors Summit and also set up stalls in the exhibition. Ambassadors, Consulate General or Deputy Chief of Mission of a total of 35 countries were present. About 450 International Business Delegates and 400 International Buyer-Sellers participated. Around 5000 delegates came. About 10 thousand people saw the exhibition. All the G-20 countries came to the summit. More than 2600 meetings of various sectors took place in the summit. More than 100 one-to-one meetings of the investors were held with the Chief Minister. More than 5000 business representatives participated in the other 200 meetings.
