Dacoits and looters have long symbolised the ravines of Chambal, and Golden Baba who adorns himself with gold ornaments weighing several kilogrammes could not stop but worry for his security as he passed through the region.
The seer who attracted many eyes during Simhastha Kumbh was so worried for his safety that he directly proceeded towards Gwalior SP office and sought security.
He met SP Harinarayanchari Mishra and urged him to provide him a security cover till the time he travels in Chambal region. Agreeing to the request from the seer, the SP offered him a security cover till the borders of the district.
Responding to queries from the media, Golden Baba accepted that he felt apprehensive while moving through Chambal.
Known for his penchant for the yellow precious metal, Golden Baba wears ornaments weighing around 11 kg.
Incidentally, the baba, whose real name is Sudhir Kumar Makkad, was in the garments business in Delhi before he took ‘sannyas’.
