Grounded by tech trouble, Amit Shah to arrive today

BHOPAL: BJP president Amit Shah, who was scheduled to arrive in Bhopal on Thursday evening on a three-day tour, was held up by aircraft problems and is now expected on Friday morning. A retinue of top BJP leaders, led by chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, kept waiting at Bhopal airport but in vain. Around 11pm, the CM announced the postponement of Shah’s visit saying, “Amit Shah ji was ready to take off from New Delhi but could not due to a technical fault in the aircraft.” Shah’s tour will begin at 9am on Friday, according to schedule, Chouhan said, addressing hundreds of party workers here.
