IG Agricultural University professor accused of molestation

The students of Bachelor of Science course of Indira Gandhi Agricultural University have accused a professor of molesting them during practical classes in the varsity.

Students of B.Sc second-year have filed a complaint against the professor with the help of ABVP members with the university administration in this connection.

Members of students’ wing created ruckus in the university following which the varsity authorities registered the complaint.

However, the accused professor denied the charges leveled against him. Terming the charges as baseless, he said , that it has been intentionally done to tarnish his image.

Meanwhile, the chairman of Internal Complaints Committee of the University, Vishakha Committee, Dr JR Ganguli informed that they have received a complaint in this connection. The report will be submitted to the varsity after the investigation gets over.

Sources in the varsity, informed that the complainants have also reported the incident to the Governor and Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh.

However, a section of university employees also see the episode as outcome of rivalry within University over the presidential seat.
