In the election year, the Shivraj Singh Chouhan government of Madhya Pradesh is taking special care of the officers and employees. The government has now given the gift of holiday to the employees of the state. The notification issued on 19 December 2022 has been amended. According to this amendment, on May 22, 2023, Maharana Pratap Jayanti was earlier declared as Optional Leave, but after making amendment it has now been declared as a general holiday.
Let us tell you that earlier in the election year, the Shivraj government of Madhya Pradesh had given holiday to the officers-employees on account of Lord Chitragupta’s appearance festival, Ganga Saptami, but now the government has announced a holiday on Maharana Pratap Jayanti as well. In this regard, a notification has been issued on 5 May 2023 under the signature of Secretary Srinivas Sharma.
According to the notification issued by the Ministry of General Administration Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh, now May 22 has also been declared a public holiday. It has been written in the notification that making a partial amendment to the notification issued on December 19, 2022, Maharana Pratap Jayanti, on Monday, May 22, 2023, is declared a general holiday in the entire MP instead of the earlier declared optional holiday. Let us tell you that a holiday has already been declared for government teachers in Madhya Pradesh from May 1 to June 9.
