Maihar civic body polls: When CM Chouhan convinced upset voters over phone

Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had to convince voters on Friday to cast ballot after they decided to boycott Maihar civic body polls.
The voters in Ward No. 23 and 46 in Girgita village of Maihar in Satna district were upset over non-redressal of demands and unfulfilled promises by politicians and decided to boycott civic polls.
The voting resumed in these wards at 11 am only after the CM intervened and convinced them.
The voters from Ward No. 23 and 46 complained that the CM and former Energy minister Rajendra Shukla had promised to improve the power connectivity in their area but instead the electricity cuts became frequent and to protest this they decided to boycott the polls.
The CM assured the voters that their demands will be fulfilled and appealed them to cast their votes in favour of the BJP candidates.
