A spurned lover has set a girl on fire after she rejected his advances and refused to elope with him in Dhuma village of Junapara in Bilaspur district.
The girl breathed her last during the treatment at CIMS. The incident occurred on October 3.

The 19-year-old accused Gaurang alias Dada Tanwar fell in a one sided love with a minor girl named Rajjan Yadav (16) of his village and forced her to elope with him but she refused.
The refusal hurt Tanwar and he poured inflammable liquid on the girl and fled the scene.
The family members of the victim rushed to spot after they heard her screaming and shouting for help and tried to douse the fire but by then she was burnt nearly 80 percent.
The girl was immediately shifted to Chhattisgarh Institute of Medical Sciences (CIMS) hospital for treatment but she later succumbed to her injuries.
An FIR has been filed at Junapara sub-police station and the accused has been arrested and sent to jail.
