Remarkable efforts being made to control quality of roads: CM

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that wonderful efforts are being made by NHAI and Public Works Department to control the quality of roads in the state. I congratulate these departments for this. This effort of quality control should be continued in other departments. Efforts should be made to improve the roads by identifying them before they deteriorate. A better action plan should be prepared for the maintenance of roads during the rainy season.

Chief Minister Chouhan was reviewing the roads of the Public Works Department and the new possible Pragati Paths of NHAI at the residence office Samatva Bhavan today. Public Works Minister Gopal Bhargava, Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains and other departmental officers were present.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that if potholes are visible on the roads during the rainy season, they should be repaired on priority. Special quality inspection drive should be continued and prompt action should be taken on poor quality. Continuous quality inspection of construction works should be done.
