Shivraj fends off queries on Laxmikant Sharma, BJP state head says happy on his good friend’s release

#Bhopal #Madhya Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party State president Nandkumar Singh Chauhan claimed that he was happy his ‘good friend’, former minister in Shivraj cabinet, Laxmikant Sharma was out on jail after securing bail.
Sharma, one of the prime accused in Vyapam scam, was granted bail by the court around a week ago.
“We have worked for the party together for years and I am happy he is now out of jail,” Chauhan said during a party function.
He, however, jumped the gun to reply that he did not support Sharma’s remarks on RSS functionaries when asked about what former minister Sharma has remarked on them.
When told about Sharma’s views that he called RSS officebearers as clean image personalities, Chauhan corrected himself and said that he had said the right things. Chauhan also ducked queries on Sharma’s inclusion into the partyfold.
Meanwhile, Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan fended off queries on former minister Laxmikant Sharma in an another function.
Earlier, BJP National general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya had also expressed happiness over Sharma’s release. However, he drew flak for assigning clean chit to Sharma even before the court could decide upon the same.
