Shivraj Singh scraps New Year vacations to undertake bureaucrats’ performance review

#Bhopal #Madhya Pradesh In a view to keep a check on bureaucrats’ performance, the chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has cancelled his New Year vacation and has decided to review performance instead.
As a result, officers will also be asked to stay back, and according to sources, CM Chouhan might punish slack and irresponsible bureaucrats while laborious ones might get reward for their diligence in the New Year.
With complaints piling up against officers posted at Mantralaya to the ones deployed on field duties, CM Chohan has decided to review their CRs himself and assign them fitting responsibilities.
The parameters that CM will be basing his review on include—tenure of officers’ posting, review of previous postings, a review of pending cases in departments concerned, working style and interests shown by the officers while implementing schemes, complaints lodged against bureaucrats by employees and trade unions, complaints received during present postings would be looked into, review of officers’ works during the posting and assessment of officers’ efficacy before fresh posting.
Political analysts are linking the administrative reshuffle to the string of defeats the ruling BJP has suffered of late including the losses at five civic bodies couple of days ago.
Not only corruption by the government staff is brining bad name for ruling party but the highhanded officers are also making the state government see red repeatedly so the CM Chouhan has decided to pull up reins. The state goes to assembly polls in 2018.
