Shivraj Singh’s aide Nandkumar Singh frontrunner for the BJP state chief post

Bhopal #Madhya Pradesh Internal politics has started to heat up as Bharatiya Janata Party is set to elect its state head for replacing incumbent Nandkumar Singh Chauhan.
However with Chauhan enjoying close proximity to chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the elderly leader is set to get second term in office. Meanwhile, his chances have been jolted by recent defeats at Ratlam and five civic bodies.
Among others, former Indore mayor Krishna Murari Mogh, Panchayat and Rural Development minister Gopal Bhargav and BJP national general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya are also in the fray.
Chauhan, Moghe and Vijayvargiya did not miss the chance to meet party national head Amit Shah as the latter visited Indore on Friday for taking part in the RSS mega Abhyas Varg going on there.
However known to be close aide of Shah, it was Vijayvargiya who hogged the limelight with the national president of BJP.
With the party keeping things under the wraps, the new state head would be elected on January 5. Former party MP Ramdas Agrawal would reach Bhopal on January 4 for undertaking the proceedings of the election.
The voter list for the election includes 272 voters. Prominent of them include CM Chouhan, Nandkumar Singh Chauhan, ministers Bhupendra Singh, Narottam Mishra, Kusum Mehdele, MPs Rakesh Singh, Meghraj Jain and others.
However with Congress turning to revival mode and Kailash Vijayvargiya and Uma Bharti already posing threat to his supremacy at the Centre, CM Chouhan would want his close aide Nandkumar Singh Chauhan as the state goes to assembly polls in the year 2018.
