Union Minister of State for Social Justice Ramdas Athawale on Sunday said India should take control of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) if the neighbouring country did not stop its mischief.
“We do not need a war with Pakistan. But if Pakistan interferes in our internal matters, I think we should take control of PoK,” Athawale said, speaking to reporters during the ‘Tiranga Yatra’.
Should take over PoK if Pakistan doesn’t stop interfering, says Ramdas Athawale
“Forces like Pakistan are conspiring against India by spreading terrorism. Pakistan should stop anti-India activities as the Indian army is far stronger than Pakistani army,” the RPI (A) chief said.
“We appeal to Pakistan to give up its control of PoK. The part of Kashmir which is occupied by Pakistan is India’s integral part,” the minister stressed.
China too should not encroach upon Indian territory, Athawale added.
The RPI (A) leader also spoke about the Dalit atrocities and rubbished the charge that the atrocities on Dalits have increased under the BJP-led NDA government.
“Congress allegation on NDA is not right as atrocities on Dalits were committed during prevision UPA government as well,” Athawale claimed.
“Atrocities on Dalits will not be tolerated under any government. Our government (NDA) was trying to stop atrocities on Dalits”, said the minister.
To a query, he said that the RPI (A) will join hands with BJP and contest the 2017 UP Assembly polls. “BSP chief Mayawati doesn’t have right over the votes of entire Dalit community,” Athawale added.
