The bank had replied that the account has been opened in the name of M/s Chhattisgarh Janata Congress, and no KYC form was submitted.
Taking strong objection over the opening and functioning of the account the RTI activist filed a complaint with RBI and election commission in Delhi saying that on that prefix only departmental, shop, firm or company will be allowed to open its account and operate.
A party which is not registered with election commission cannot be allowed to operate its account in a bank to have deposition of funds, he added.
Finally, under the instructions of the RBI, UB seized the operations and bank account of CJC at its branch. Kunal Shukla further said, “I have received information that operation of the bank account is illegal hence the complaint was filed, and the bank account of CJC was closed.”
Apart from these, the RTI activist also filed a complaint with the state admin to cancel the allotment of a government bungalow to Ajit Jogi which is acting as party headquarters for the party.
