As India continuous to rejoice success of women athletes at Rio Olympics, five fraudulent women candidates have featured in the list of Vyapam imposters prepared by the Central Bureau of Investigation.
The CBI probing the Vyapam scam has issued the list of 155 candidates who appeared in place of original candidates in various Vyapam exams in the past and the list includes names and pictures of five girl imposters as well.
Some of these girls appeared for three or more times in place of original candidates. Maximum 95 impersonators had appeared in PMT of 2009 in Madhya Pradesh and such candidates kept registering their presence in PMT in other years as well.
Some of the wanted belong to various recruitment tests held for Madhya Pradesh police.
The CBI has announced reward of Rs 10,000 for offering information regarding these candidates.
The list of women Munnabhais could swell further as the apex investigative agency is set to release 150 more names shortly.
The investigators have sought information from 200 medical colleges and coaching centres of the country. The CBI has uploaded the list of imposters on its official website so that anyone from public could identify and report these fraudulent candidates.
Two such imposters –Santosh Nigam and Alok Yadav –belong to Bhopal. However the names and addresses of these candidates are forged.
Pre Medical Test in Madhya Pradesh had been marred with presence of forged candidates for years. Medicos from UP, Bihar and other candidates were hired for appearing in place of original candidates in PMTs by Vyapam brokers. The Vyapam scam was unearthed when one such group of imposters was arrested by Indore crime branch in 2013.
