Youth Congress workers protest outside Vyapam board office due to goof up in recruitment results

Madhya Pradesh Youth Congress workers opposing Forest Guard Recruitment anomalies on Tuesday protested outside Professional Examination Board (Vyapam) office in Bhopal and smeared the signboard with black ink.
Several candidates were shown as successful in the exam by the PEB portal couple of days ago. However, next day, as those candidates re-checked their result after around 52 hours, they were declared failed.
This anguished the candidates. Later on the board had termed the good up as clerical error.
The result for forest guard recruitment test conducted on August 16, 2015 was announced on January 30, in which large numbers of candidates were shown as successful by the PEB website. But, as the students saw the result on Monday, most of them were shown as unsuccessful.
Several candidates upset with the U-turn have threatened to move the court. PEB on contrary has passed the buck on technical error.
“A technical error had led to passing of large numbers of candidates and the board amended the mistake and published the corrected results on Monday, an officer from PEB said.
The goof up comes days after Technical Education Ministers Umashankar Gupta’s announcement that Vyapam has been cleansed of its anomalies.
