Samsung will launch the Galaxy M30s in India today. The M30s is a refreshed version of the popular Galaxy M30. It will bring some noticeable upgrades over its predecessor, such as a bigger 6,000mAh battery and a high-resolution 48MP triple camera setup. The Galaxy M30s will be announced at 12 noon, which is when Samsung will reveal the price and sale date as well. The M30s will go on sale on Amazon India and Samsung’s e-store.
Considering the Galaxy M30s succeeds the M30, we expect the phone to be priced somewhere between Rs 15,000 to Rs 20,000 in India. In addition to the Galaxy M30s, Samsung will also announce the Galaxy M10s and a new 3GB + 32GB variant of the Galaxy M30. You can catch all the announcements live via the Samsung India YoutUbe channel.
Samsung Galaxy M30s expected specifications
The Galaxy M30s will look similar to the M30 in terms of design. It will offer an Infinity-U Super AMOLED display with a waterdrop notch. The rear panel will get a vertical triple camera setup and a fingerprint sensor. Samsung has already revealed a new gradient blue colour that will be available, but you can expect more colour options as well.
The USP of the Galaxy M30s is its massive 6,000mAh battery which is the biggest yet in a phone. This will be the first phone in India to offer a 6,000mAh capacity, which will no doubt promise a two-day battery life. To recall, the Galaxy M30 comes with a 5,000mAh battery.
Another upgrade coming to the M30s is in the camera department. The phone will offer a 48MP triple camera setup that will likely include an ultra wide-angle lens and depth sensor. The Galaxy M30 offers a 16MP triple camera system.
The Galaxy M30s will be powered by a new processor, which Samsung will reveal at 12pm today. Based on a TENAA listing earlier, the Galaxy M30s will come with an Exynos 9611 SoC with up to 6GB of RAM.
